Mike is not your average stand in the back bassist... he likes to engage and 'get out there with the crowd!
Mike started playing professionally full-time in 1979 in Trinidad, CO with the Miland Band. He relocated to Albuquerque for 18 months and joined up with Zozobra, later returning to southern Colorado and northern New Mexico to play with Fool Moon and Late Fer Work. Mike moved on and came to Colorado Springs, where he married and raised a family (two children). So, as life would have it, playing music was put on the backburner for 23 years.
But, his love for playing live never waned, and he joined with some former musicians to play a couple of reunion gigs in 2011. Now with his children grown, he returned to playing again. Mike joined up with the Boogiemen out of Denver, Beatles and Beer, Spoiled Mistress, and the Austin Ross Band. And now, he’s become a beloved member of Raven-Wolf. Mike is not limited to just playing though… he lends his voice to background vocals and takes an occasional lead vocal. We are so excited to have found him at just the right time, and like he has said, he is ‘having fun!’
