Fred “Ampoholic” Hunt is a native of the western ‘burbs of Chicago.  He retired from the US Army at Ft. Carson.  Fred stayed here in Colorado Springs where he met his soulmate, Becky.  Between them, they have 6 kids, 10 grandkids and 6 great grandkids (TRIPLETS!)

     Fred started playing the guitar just about 20 years ago.  After six years of intensive work, he played guitar at their daughter’s wedding ceremony. The band that was to play the reception saw him play at the ceremony and asked him to play at the reception [Europa by Santana].  After the first few notes of the intro, the band kicked in!  “Holy crap, what a rush!”  .. and there was no looking back.

     Within a year, Fred joined his first band and performed with 2 successful cover bands in Colorado Springs over the next 13 years.  Now, Fred is looking forward to another long run of shows with Raven-Wolf and their amazing musicians.

 

     Fred & Becky can be spotted frequently on the Mexican beaches or hiking the Colorado trails.
